Why we should talk about Composition?

Planning an interesting composition is the first thing i consider when starting a new painting. In this video class i will show you new and exciting ways to look at Still Life Composition. We will explore light, shapes, zones and watch as i sketch the composition, change and adapt it until I find its balance.

I will consider the shape of the paper or canvas that i want to paint on and I will complete 3 different paintings of the same still life.

What you will see in this class?

You will see me collecting flowers from my tropical garden and arranging a Still Life from many objects found in my studio. We will look at two of the paintings in my collection and analyse the composition.
