Zanzibar Art House — Ubud, Bali

Christine and Tim Hingston met at art school in Perth in 1972, and are now happily married with a life shaped by art and creativity. After years of a busy, full life in Australia — raising a family and running a national clothing business — they took a holiday to Bali and fell in love with Ubud. They returned year after year, and in 2015 made the move to Ubud for good.

Set among the glorious green rice fields on Jl. Subak Sok Wayah, Zanzibar Art House is their garden gallery and artisan gift shop, showcasing a curated collection of local ceramics, paintings, jewellery, photography and handcrafted pieces — chosen for their originality and uniqueness. Look for the blue Zanzibar Art House sign as you enjoy one of Ubud’s favourite rice field walks.
